Andrew Benintendi Posts First Four-Hit Game Since 2021
11 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi closed 4-for-5 with one run scored, one walk, and one stolen base in a 4-3 extra-inning win over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday. The 28-year-old direly needed a jolt to his nondescript White Sox debut season and fantasy managers hope his first game with three hits or greater of the campaign serves as that impetus. This effort comes on the heels of Benintendi smacking his first home run of the season on Friday, so he could become a waiver wire pickup in shallow leagues with a few more encouraging outings. The 2022 All-Star is slashing a modest .293/.383/.414 with one homer, eight RBI, and four swipes over his previous 99 at-bats, so he's not totally far off from shallow-league relevance.
