Davante Adams 2020 Outlook: Steady WR remains in the Sweet Spot
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers WR and number-one offensive option Davante Adams is a "when", not "if" guy if there ever was one. Adams is the definition of a go-to option for QB Aaron Rodgers in an offense that ultimately isn't expected to change much at all, even as the team that was expected to draft an additional receiving threat to pair with Adams did nothing of the sort. One target away from being tied for most targeted receiver of 2018, injuries ultimately cost Adams four games, and he ultimately only topped ten receptions in one more game for the remainder of the season as the injury lingered.
Ultimately the down year for Adams may mean he falls a few spots in your league, but is worthy of the second round receiver status he merits. While last year's touchdown total was disappointing, Adams still ranks at the top of his position for receiving touchdowns from 2016-2019. Entering his 27-year old season, the talented pass catcher is still a consistent scoring threat, with the continued makings of a WR1.
