Zac Gallen Extends Home Supremacy In Eighth Victory
11 months agoArizona Diamondback starting pitcher Zac Gallen launched seven one-run innings versus the Cleveland Guardians on Friday. The 27-year-old allowed six hits and no walks while striking out seven batters on the way to his eighth win of the year in the team's 5-1 triumph. Gallen has been utterly dominant at Chase Field, holding opponents to one run or less in six of his eight starts for a golden 1.00 ERA there this season. The right-hander bears a contrasting 5.79 ERA on the road, however, making him something of a volatile fantasy option depending on venue. Gallen nonetheless carries a 2.96 ERA and exceptional 100:19 K:BB overall into a visit on Wednesday with the Milwaukee Brewers, who he has a 1.50 ERA over 24 frames against since 2021.
