Wendell Carter Jr. Still Out With Broken Finger
1 week agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (finger) remains listed as out for Tuesday's In-Season Tournament game versus the Toronto Raptors. Carter fractured the third metacarpal in his left hand late in Nov. 2's game against the Utah Jazz and the Magic later announced that they would re-evaluate him in three weeks. Orlando opens up a six-game homestand on Tuesday, but they've not yet offered an update on Carter's status, or any kind of indication that the 24-year-old big man's return is imminent. Carter was really struggling to return fantasy value before suffering the setback, averaging just 9.4 points on 37.8% field-goal shooting and a 57.1% free-throw success rate. The former No. 7 overall pick is still worth stashing in most fantasy leagues, while Moritz Wagner and Goga Bitadze share minutes evenly at the five in his stead.
