Victor Wembanyama Won’t Play Wednesday
3 weeks agoSan Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Head coach Gregg Popovich mentioned following Tuesday's road win over the Memphis Grizzlies that the team would be smart with Wembanyama on the second night of the back-to-back. The Spurs have two games left at home against the Denver Nuggets on Friday and the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, and the 2023 No. 1 overall pick would figure to be good to go for both meetings. In eight games without Wemby season, Zach Collins has stepped up to average 16.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, and 1.8 combined steals plus blocks. Collins is the most likely candidate to start at center for San Antonio on Wednesday, and he's a great DFS value option on the eight-game slate.
