Tyrese Maxey Sidelined Tuesday
2 months agoPhiladelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (head) will miss Tuesday's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Experiencing concussion-like symptoms, Maxey has returned to Philadelphia to be further evaluated. He collided with a teammate in Sunday's victory over the Dallas Mavericks and was examined by attending physicians before being cleared to return to the game. The 23-year-old All-Star has tried to keep Philly afloat in the standings amid Joel Embiid's (knee) absence, and across Maxey's last nine games, he's putting up 28.0 points, 5.9 assists, 2.9 threes, and 1.0 steals in 38.7 minutes per contest. A short turnaround on Wednesday versus the Memphis Grizzlies is on deck for Maxey, so he's up against it to be cleared for that one. Kyle Lowry is averaging 8.0 points, 5.8 dimes, 1.2 triples, and 1.0 steals in 27.8 minutes over five games (two starts) for the Sixers and should direct the offense against Brooklyn.
