Trea Turner 2024 Outlook: Is A Bounce-Back Campaign On The Horizon?
2 years agoBefore a standing ovation from the Phillies faithful jump started an offensive resurgence for their $300 million shortstop, Trea Turner had an abysmal first year in Philadelphia. Two seasons removed from a batting title, Turner slashed just .247/.299/.389 through 88 first-half games. However, the 30-year-old nearly tripled his OPS in the second half, significantly reducing his strikeouts. The one thing that remained consistent in Turner's first year was his speed, as he nabbed 30 bags without being caught in 155 games. It's safe to say that in Turner's second full season in Philly, he'll appear more comfortable in his new digs. ATC projects Turner to bat .279 with 23 home runs, 82 RBI, and 29 stolen bases in 2024. The two-time All-Star's 16 ADP is accurate as he can service fantasy owners in many ways and will likely return to form offensively in 2024.
