Travis d'Arnaud Notches Two-Homer Outburst
11 months agoAtlanta Braves catcher/designated hitter Travis d'Arnaud went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 8-1 beatdown of the Colorado Rockies. It was the 34-year-old's first multi-HR effort of the year. d'Arnaud is now slashing a respectable .281/.340/.461 with four homers and 14 RBI this season, but he has scarcely played since returning from the injured list on May 10. However, d'Arnaud holds a decent mix of standalone and contingency value. The former Silver Slugger tends to find himself in Atlanta's heart of the order when he does get the nod, making him a plug-and-play fantasy option in those cases. d'Arnaud would also become an immediate waiver wire add in the event that Marcell Ozuna or Sean Murphy go down.
