Spencer Dinwiddie Officially Out Wednesday
6 months agoBrooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. Dinwiddie apparently sustained a left ankle sprain during the first half of Monday's 133-121 win over the Charlotte Hornets, closing with five points, three assists, and one three-pointer in 13 minutes before his night ended. There wasn't a visible moment where the 30-year-old playmaker's injury occurred, so it's hard to gauge what type of absence he is potentially facing. Dinwiddie will aim to suit up for Friday's action against the Bulls in Chicago. If healthy, Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) is a candidate make the start at the one for head coach Jacque Vaughn on Wednesday. Look for the raging-hot Cam Thomas and Lonnie Walker IV to occupy some minutes at the point, too.
