Seth Brown Leaves Thursday's Game Early
7 months agoOakland Athletics infielder/outfielder Seth Brown (oblique) was pulled from Thursday's game against the Minnesota Twins with left oblique soreness. He went 0-for-2 before Tyler Soderstrom replaced him as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning. Brown flashed an interesting blend of power and speed at the first base position a season ago but showed diminished fantasy appeal in the anemic A's lineup during 2023. The 31-year-old is slashing .222/.286/.405 with 14 home runs, 52 RBI, and three stolen bases in 343 at-bats. It's fair to consider Brown day-to-day ahead of Oakland's series finale versus the Los Angeles Angels. Look for Aledmys Diaz and Tony Kemp to help out as corner outfielders while Ryan Noda mostly occupies first base.
