Frankie Montas (undisclosed) left Sunday's game early after being hit by a comebacker off outfielder
Taylor Ward. The ball struck Montas in his pitching arm, which was why he had to leave the game.
Brent Suter replaced Montas as a result. There have not been any updates on the extent of the injury, so fantasy managers will have to keep a close eye on his status before his next scheduled start. Montas was off to a great start with his new team, as he did not allow an earned run until his third start. Since then, Montas has allowed nine earned runs. Brent Suter is an option to replace Montas in the rotation if he were to have an extended absence.

Matt Brash (elbow) is nearing a rehab assignment, according to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times. Brash has been shut down since Spring Training due to elbow inflammation but has recently thrown a bullpen session and is now quickly approaching the final step in his recovery process. The 25-year-old was an elite set-up man for Seattle last season as he posted a 3.06 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 107 punchouts across 70 ⅔ innings. Brash finished the season with 24 holds, which tied him for 11th best in the major leagues. Brash is worth looking into in leagues that score holds, as he will be given ample opportunities and should also improve your team's pitching ratios.

Bryan Woo (elbow) is slated to begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers on Sunday, according to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times. Woo was diagnosed with elbow inflammation during Spring Training and has been on the IL since the start of the season. The 24-year-old made his major league debut last summer and pitched to the tune of a 4.21 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 87 ⅔ innings and tallied 93 punchouts. The right-handed pitcher placed in the 83rd percentile among qualified pitchers in hard-hit rate and 77th percentile in barrel rate, showing how he succeeded in limited hard contact. Woo should be expected to slot in the Mariners rotation as soon as he joins the major league club and is worth adding if on your waiver wire.

Merrill Kelly (undisclosed) has been scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday in the final game of a four-game set against their division rival San Francisco Giants. Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reported the news, but there has not been any clarity on why the 35-year-old will not be on the bump, so fantasy managers should pay close attention over the next few days. Kelly was off to another strong season, sporting a 2.19 ERA and 0.93 WHIP across 24 ⅔ innings.

Jhoan Duran (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday at Triple-A St. Paul. The fireballer recently threw a live batting practice without any discomfort and will now begin the next step in his recovery. Duran will likely be able to return to the majors within the next couple weeks, assuming there are no setbacks. The 26-year-old should be rostered in all fantasy formats as he offers high-end upside as a closer. He may not resume his ninth-inning duties right away for the Twins, but there is no doubt that he will return to closing at some point in the near future.

DL Hall (knee) was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left knee sprain on Sunday afternoon. Hall reportedly suffered the injury while fielding a bunt against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. The 25-year-old came into the season with some hype after pitching well as a reliever in 2023. Unfortunately, the results have not been good for the former top prospect as he owns a 7.71 ERA, 2.27 WHIP and 13/10 K/BB through four starts this season. It is currently unclear how the Brewers plan to fill Hall's spot rotation, but

Anthony Rendon (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday afternoon. The veteran infielder exited Saturday's game early after straining his hamstring while running out a single. It is unfortunate timing for the 33-year-old as he was just rediscovering his consistency at the plate.
Ehire Adrianza was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake as a corresponding move, but it is more likely that
Luis Rengifo and
Miguel Sano see the majority of playing time at the hot corner. Rengifo is worth an add in any deeper leagues where he is available due to his multi-position eligibility and stolen base upside.

Ian Happ (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins. Happ was removed from Friday's game in the seventh inning due to left hamstring tightness. He also did not play on Saturday. Happ is reportedly available to pinch hit today if necessary and is hopeful he will return soon. Fantasy managers can consider Happ day-to-day for now and should check to see if he draws back into the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Houston Astros. In his absence,
Alexander Canario will start in left field and bat ninth on Sunday. Canario is not a recommended option in any fantasy format.

Cristian Javier (neck) was scratched from Sunday's start earlier in the day and now will be placed on the 15-day injured list. The move to the injured list was made to "give him time," according to manager Joe Espada. It is unclear when this problem arose for Javier and hopefully it is not a long-term issue. The 27-year-old has been a bright spot for a battered Astros rotation to start the season. He has gone 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18/11 K/BB across his first four starts. More information about the injury will surely come out over the next few days. Javier should obviously be stashed in all fantasy formats while he is sidelined.

Hunter Brown is being moved up to start on Sunday against the Washington Nationals after the team scratched right-hander
Cristian Javier (neck) from his scheduled start due to neck discomfort. Brown was previously scheduled to make his next start on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs. The 25-year-old will be on a typical four days of rest, so he shouldn't have any limitations on Sunday against the Nats. Brown has an ugly 10.54 ERA (6.67 FIP) and 2.78 WHIP with 10 walks and 11 strikeouts over 13 2/3 innings in his four starts for Houston, but he did have his first quality start in his last outing against the Atlanta Braves, when he gave up two runs with three walks and three K's in six innings on April 16. Brown will be hoping to make it two straight strong outings on Sunday.

Nick Pivetta (elbow) threw a bullpen session on Saturday. Pivetta will next throw an up-and-down session on Thursday in Cleveland and then throw live batting practice as he works his way back from an elbow injury that landed him on the injured list. The 31-year-old will then probably need to go on a short minor-league rehab assignment before returning to Boston's starting rotation. The former fourth-round pick of the Washington Nationals in 2013 out of New Mexico Junior College looked great in his first two starts for the Red Sox this year, allowing just one earned run on eight hits (one homer) while walking one and striking out 13 in 11 innings pitched. Fantasy managers that are stashing him right now can only hope he'll be just as effective once he returns from his elbow ailment.

Rafael Devers (knee) had an MRI exam on Thursday morning that showed a bone bruise and no structural damage in his left knee, which he tweaked making a play on defense in Tuesday's loss. He sat out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but manager Alex Cora told reporters on Saturday that the team is aiming for Devers to return on Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians. The Red Sox have a scheduled off day on Monday, so the club is hoping the 27-year-old will be feeling better by Tuesday. If he's not, he could join first baseman
Triston Casas (rib) on the injured list, which would really put the team's infield in a bind. With both Devers and Casas hurt,
