P.J. Washington Up In The Air For Friday
5 months agoCharlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (shoulder) left Wednesday's game versus the Miami Heat due to a left shoulder injury and did not return. Washington managed to play four minutes before going down, logging an assist, a steal, a block, and a turnover in four minutes of action. "No idea", head coach Steve Clifford told reporters after the game about Washington's status when the New Orleans Pelicans come to town on Friday. The Hornets could be awfully thin down low against paint scorers Jonas Valanciunas and potentially Zion Williamson (ankle). Mark Williams (back) has missed two of the last three games with a back injury, and if Washington's shoulder injury is significant enough to cost him Friday's game, look for blocks and boards specialist Nick Richards to absorb all the run he handle after playing a season-high 40 minutes in Wednesday's loss.
