Nolan Arenado Goes Yard; Buy-Low Window Closing
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in the fifth inning of St. Louis' loss to Detroit on Saturday. It was the 32-year-old's first big fly since April 12. The six-time Platinum Glover has been mired in a troubling slump for quite some time, limping to a .145 batting average with merely two RBI across the 16 games prior to Saturday's effort. After logging at least one hit in 14-of-16 games to commence the year, Arenado has signified a screaming fantasy buy-low candidate for a number of weeks while struggling through this lengthy skid. Fantasy managers should expect the five-time Silver Slugger to build on this performance going forward.
