Monte Morris Sidelined For Three Weeks
6 months agoDetroit Pistons guard Monte Morris (quad), who is out for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Miami Heat, will be re-evaluated in three weeks. Morris' back spasms kept him out of the whole preseason, and he's now likely to miss the next several weeks of action with a newfound right quad strain. The 28-year-old floor general should see his rotation spot taken by Killian Hayes in the meantime, with swingman Alec Burks also chipping in some reserve minutes at the one behind starters Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey. Morris, likely to only supply low-end fantasy value when healthy anyway, can be left on most waiver wires at this time.
