Michael Porter Jr. Sprains Ankle At Camp
7 months agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) was seen leaving Wednesday's practice with a walking boot on his left foot after spraining his ankle. The injury is perceived as "nothing too concerning", per Harrison Wind. Well, that's still not what fantasy managers were hoping to hear out of training camp regarding the oft-injured Porter. Though, it at least appears to be a minor issue that shouldn't impact his availability for Oct. 24's opening night. A breakout year has remained elusive for the 25-year-old Porter, who has long drawn comparisons to Kevin Durant for his combination of unique size and scoring ability. Porter has certainly developed into one of the league's preeminent catch-and-shoot players, but he's still looking to tap into other dimensions of his game. He remains worth a seventh-round pick in 12-team leagues, but the injury history is concerning.
