Michael Porter Jr. Ruled Out Thursday
7 months agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) is out for Thursday's preseason game against the Chicago Bulls. Porter suffered a minor left ankle sprain during last week's training camp, and the Nuggets are likely to allot their oft-injured sharpshooter as much time as possible to get him back at full strength. After missing Tuesday's opener, Porter's next shot to return to the lineup comes in Sunday's home rematch with Chicago. Veteran swingman Justin Holiday figures to get the starting nod in Porter's stead after handling that role in Denver's last contest. MPJ holds quite a bit of intrigue in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts this fall, but the 2018 first-rounder likely needs improved health and all-around contributions in order to break out.
