Magic Holding Markelle Fultz Out Monday
3 months agoOrlando Magic guard Markelle Fultz (knee) will get the night off on Monday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers after recently returning from a long layoff. The Magic are managing Fultz's surgically-repaired left knee, which caused the former No. 1 overall pick to miss two months of action between November and January because of lingering tendinitis. Orlando is off until Friday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies, so that should provide Fultz enough time to return to the court. With Gary Harris (calf) still out, Cole Anthony (ankle), who is off Monday's injury report after tweaking his ankle in Sunday's win over the Miami Heat, and Jalen Suggs will handle the bulk of the minutes in the backcourt. Defensive-minded rookie Anthony Black is an option to enter the starting lineup, but this game presents the lowest implied point total (215.5) on Monday's eight-game slate.
