LaMonte Wade Jr. Continues Breakout Campaign
11 months agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and a walk in the team's 15-0 bludgeoning of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. The 29-year-old is setting the table and hitting for power at a high clip of late. Wade is slashing a pleasant .321/.435/.554 with two homers, 10 RBI, and 10 free passes over his last 56 at-bats with help from this explosion. The southpaw trails just hitting-machine Luis Arraez with a .416 on-base percentage overall (211 ABs) in 2023. Wade's lack of speed and RBI potential from the leadoff spot generally make him a borderline fantasy option, but fantasy managers could find much worse than the righty masher.
