Kristaps Porzingis Returns, Al Horford Out Wednesday
4 months agoBoston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (calf) isn't listed on the team's injury report for Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings, but teammate Al Horford (rest) will not play. Porzingis returns from a one-game respite as the Celtics manage his left calf strain, and Horford takes a seat for maintenance purposes on the second night of a back-to-back. More usage is headed Porzingis' direction, with Jayson Tatum (ankle) sitting out for Wednesday's battle with the Kings due to an ankle sprain. Porzingis is tallying 18.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, and 1.6 blocks per game in 2023-24. After Horford served his fantasy purpose with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double in KP's stead on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors, the veteran should suit back up on Saturday for a duel with the Los Angeles Clippers.
