Kawhi Leonard Practicing In A Limited Capacity
4 months agoLos Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue says forward Kawhi Leonard (hip) is practicing "a little bit" on Thursday. Leonard has missed the team's past three games due to a left hip contusion after a fall in the fourth quarter of Dec. 20's game. A limited practice session would appear to give Leonard a fair chance of making his return, however, on Friday versus the visiting Memphis Grizzlies. The oft-injured 32-year-old two-time NBA Finals MVP has paid off his fantasy draft cost in a big way during a mostly healthy 2023-24, bringing in 24.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 three-pointers, and 1.5 steals per game. The Clippers have lost two out of three games without Leonard. Lue has shuffled Leonard's minutes among several players, essentially leaving no one with a substantial boost in fantasy worth. Russell Westbrook is probably the best bet, tallying a double-double in two of his last three nights.
