Julio Teheran Starts Rehab Assignment On Friday
8 months agoMilwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Julio Teheran (hip) began a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin on Friday. The 32-year-old seems to be on track for an early-September return if all goes well on the farm. Teheran has been on the mend with a right hip impingement since late July, but it's nagged him since July 18. The veteran righty may not come back as a starter with Brandon Woodruff having since returned during Teheran's stead. Teheran surprised with a 1.53 ERA over his first six starts of the year but fell apart for an 8.89 ERA across the next five showings to form a bumpy 4.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 44:11 K:BB in 62 2/3 innings overall.
