Jordan Clarkson Not Suiting Up Thursday
6 months agoUtah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (rest) is sitting out Thursday's preseason finale versus the Sacramento Kings. Clarkson's four-game preseason closes with averages of 9.8 points on 50% shooting, 3.0 assists (2.8 turnovers), and 1.3 three-pointers in 19.1 minutes. The giveaways became an issue after the former Sixth Man of the Year joined head coach Will Hardy's starting five in 2022-23, and they reared their ugly heads once again during exhibition action. Clarkson is going to have to shore up on that in 2023-24 if he is to make a meaningful impact in category fantasy leagues, and he enters the upcoming campaign as more of a points and threes aficionado. Collin Sexton appears likely to start Thursday, with rookie Keyonte George and veteran Kris Dunn seeing an uptick in playing time off the bench.
