Jonathan Kuminga Still In Limbo Wednesday
6 months agoGolden State Warriors forward/center Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Sacramento Kings. Kuminga is dealing with a right knee contusion that also cost him Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Warriors exercised the fourth-year team option on the 2021 first-round pick's rookie contract on Tuesday, per USA Today's Michael Scotto, now placing Kuminga under team control through the 2024-25 season ahead of restricted free agency in the ensuing summer. The 21-year-old drew some late-round fantasy attention in preseason drafts with Draymond Green's status uncertain, but his appeal has worn off following the veteran's Oct. 29 return. Kuminga has fared better in points leagues with 11.0 points (63.6% free-throw percentage), 1.0 steals, and 2.3 turnovers per night over three games and probably belongs on benches, if not waiver wires, in most category settings with the Warriors frontcourt healthy.
