Jonathan India Acting As Designated Hitter On Sunday
12 months agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (knee) is in the lineup as the designated hitter on Sunday for the series finale with the New York Yankees. The 26-year-old came out of Saturday's game late after fouling a ball off his knee, but that was a precautionary measure at this point. The workhorse has played in all 45 games for the Reds this season and his knee will not prevent him from breaking the streak. It will be just his fourth game serving as the DH this year. India is hitting .289 with eight stolen bases, 35 runs scored, three long balls, and 18 RBI as Cincinnati's everyday leadoff man.
