Joe Musgrove Dealing, Coasts To Sixth Win
10 months agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove hurled seven innings of one-run ball in Friday's 13-3 blowout win versus the Washington Nationals. The 30-year-old allowed six hits and struck out seven batters for his sixth win of the year. Musgrove is quietly rolling over his last six starts. The right-hander displays a sharp 1.98 ERA with 30 punchouts in his last 36 1/3 innings while snagging a win in five of six appearances, ranking as a top-five fantasy SP over the hot streak. The former All-Star is rebounding nicely from a sluggish five-start beginning where Musgrove limped to a 6.75 ERA coming off a left big toe fracture which cost him the first three weeks of the campaign. On Thursday, Musgrove is scheduled to get his former Pittsburgh Pirates team, who he owns a 1.59 ERA against (17 IP) since 2021.
