Jazz Keeping Lauri Markkanen Out Thursday
4 months agoThe Utah Jazz will hold forward Lauri Markkanen (hamstring) out for Thursday's contest against Detroit Pistons as a means of maintenance for his strained left hamstring. Markkanen gave the Jazz a 26-point, 10-rebound double in 36 minutes on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will catch a breather on the second half of a back-to-back set. The team remains on a cautious path with the reigning Most Improved Player of the Year, who missed eight straight games earlier this season with the injury. Markkanen should be back in the lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Raptors. There's a plethora of DFS value to go around with Utah's rotation so banged up on Thursday, with John Collins a candidate to re-enter head coach Will Hardy's starting five and Kelly Olynyk an option for extended run against the miserable Pistons.
