Jake Burger Continues Red-Hot Start In Miami
9 months agoMiami Marlins third baseman Jake Burger went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 11-3 blowout win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 27-year-old slammed a fifth-inning three-run shot as part of a five-homer attack by Miami in this one. In a limited sample size, Burger has immediately provided the slugging the Marlins were in desperate need of at the trade deadline. Since joining the Fish, the hard-hitting infielder is slashing .333/.397/.526 with two bombs, five doubles, and 11 RBI in 63 plate appearances. Burger leads the National League with 11.4 barrels per PA, so fantasy managers should add him if they need power numbers.
