Grizzlies Let Go Of Dillon Brooks Due To Shot Selection?
9 months agoThe Memphis Grizzlies may have let new Houston Rockets guard/forward Dillon Brooks walk away this offseason in part for his shot selection. Tim MacMahon of ESPN states the main reason for his exit "was because of the shot selection issue. Dillon did not want to be a fourth or fifth offensive weapon". Fantasy managers could attest to Brooks' shooting woes after the swingman shot a paltry 39.6% overall in 30.3 minutes per game across 73 contests this past season. The former second rounder ended up securing a four-year, $80 million contract with Houston this offseason to slot in as their starting small forward. However, 2023 Summer League MVP Cam Whitmore could potentially provide Brooks with a short leash on the rebuilding Rockets.
