Gary Trent Jr. Probable After Practicing Thursday
6 months agoToronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. (foot) participated in Thursday's practice and is considered probable for Friday's In-Season Tournament game versus the Boston Celtics. Trent is bothered by plantar fasciitis in his right foot, keeping him on the sidelines for Toronto's prior three games. The 24-year-old marksman is known for three-point scoring and a propensity for steals, but he's struggled mightily with shooting this year, averaging just 10.4 points on a 36.9% rate from the field in 27.1 minutes through eight games. Trent will try to kick-start his campaign against Boston and he may even find his way into head coach Darko Rajakovic's starting lineup with OG Anunoby (finger) looking unlikely to suit up. Assuming Trent's three-game absence comes to a close, role players Malachi Flynn and Chris Boucher are in line for diminished playing time on Friday.
