Garrett Cooper Jams Wrist On Friday
8 months agoSan Diego Padres first baseman/designated hitter Garrett Cooper (wrist) suffered a jammed wrist during Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 32-year-old was pinch-hit for by Ben Gamel, who singled and scored a run during his chance in the eighth inning. Cooper was 0-for-1 with a walk before departing. Gamel and Matt Carpenter figure to see more playing time should Cooper need to miss more action. The veteran slugger has provided some pop since joining the Friars with a home run and three doubles in 23 at-bats, but fantasy managers can find better sources of power.
