8 months agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta launched six two-hit innings, permitting just one run and striking out 10 for a no-decision on Friday versus the Philadelphia Phillies. After Kyle Schwarber took him deep to open the game, Peralta locked it in the rest of the way, yielding only one more baserunner before his night ended at the close of the sixth inning. The 27-year-old has been dealing for the first-place Brewers lately, notching a 1.71 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with 69 punchouts over his last seven starts (42 innings). Peralta will look stay in the zone for next week's start lined up for Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
