Francisco Lindor 2024 Player Outlook: Consistent Stat Machine Ready To Repeat In 2024
11 months agoLast year, Francisco Lindor hit .254/.336/.470 with 31 homers, 98 RBI, 108 runs and 31 stolen bases. He was one of four players to have a 30/30 season with the other three all going inside the first five picks of drafts. Lindor was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the new rules that saw stolen bases up across the league, topping the 26 steals he had in the previous two seasons combined. Last year also made it back-to-back seasons in which Lindor has played 160 games. He's now missed just 70 games in the last eight seasons, making him one of the most consistent and reliable hitters in baseball. Lindor's expected numbers were similar to his actual ones and there's nothing to suggest we'll see any regression in 2024. That includes concerns about the Mets lineup. The Mets ranked 20th in runs scored (717) last year and while their pitching staff isn't as good on paper, their offense projects to be better. Maybe Lindor won't reach 30 steals again, but his 28.2 ft/sec sprint speed was his best since 2018. He's not showing signs of slowing down with the bat or on the bases and should remain a fantasy star in 2024.
