Fernando Tatis Jr. Goes Deep In Friday’s Victory
9 months agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Texas Rangers. The 24-year-old struck out twice before leaving the yard with a fifth-inning solo shot. Tatis then singled to drive in another run as part of a big four-run sixth-inning for the Friars. The two-time Silver Slugger may not be taking MLB by storm as he did during his first three years, but Tatis has performed superbly on both sides of the ball in his 2023 return from a wrist fracture and suspension. He is batting .279 with an .842 OPS, 18 homers, 52 RBI, and 16 stolen bases over 351 at-bats this season. That's good for top-25 average value in Yahoo roto leagues on the campaign.
