3 months agoCT scans and MRIs taken on Los Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Mookie Betts' left foot came back clean for structural damage on Friday. This comes after Thursday's X-rays also showed no fractures, so the Dodgers are deeming the 30-year-old's injury a bone bruise. Betts departed LoanDepot Park on crutches after fouling a ball off his left foot in Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins. The perennial All-Star is still unlikely to play during this weekend's series against the Washington Nationals, but LA hopes he dodges the injured list with Betts' next real chance to return arriving at Monday's series opener versus the division-rival San Diego Padres.
