Dante Exum Remains Out Against Nets
3 months agoDallas Mavericks guard Dante Exum (knee) will not play in Tuesday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets. After returning from a nine-game absence on Jan. 24, Exum is back on the shelf for a sixth game in a row due to bursitis in his right knee. The 28-year-old Australian combo guard has started 14 games for the Mavs in his first season back in the NBA following two years overseas, averaging 9.2 points on a career-high 57.1% shooting from the field, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 three-pointers, and he trails only Grayson Allen in three-point percentage (47.7%). Exum's absence means more playing time for fellow Aussie guard Josh Green, who is settling into Dallas' starting group by averaging 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.7 threes on 50.0% shooting from deep covering his prior six games.
