Damian Lillard Sitting Out Against Grizzlies
4 weeks agoMilwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (groin) is listed as out for Wednesday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. It's unclear when Lillard sustained his strained right groin, but the injury will cost him a second straight game on the second night of Milwaukee's back-to-back after missing last Saturday's win over the Atlanta Hawks for personal reasons. The superstar guard's next shot to take the floor comes on Friday versus the Toronto Raptors. Since Patrick Beverley (ankle) is out, the Bucks are essentially without a true point guard for this one. Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) is expected to play, and he's averaging 33.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.1 steals through seven games without Lillard this year. The Greek Freak should be able to dominate the Grizzlies, who have the third-worst opponent rebounding percentage (48.0%) in basketball.
