Chris Sale Officially Set For Rehab Action On Tuesday
9 months agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) is slated to begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday at Triple-A Worcester. The 34-year-old should see about three innings and Red Sox manager Alex Cora says that Sale is making two rehab appearances before a potential big-league return. Sale isn't eligible for activation from the 60-day injured list until Aug. 11, anyway, so the conclusion of his second rehab start could match up closely to that date. Barring any setbacks, it seems the seven-time All-Star is primed for a comeback in roughly two weeks after going down with a stress reaction in his left shoulder on June 2. It's about time for fantasy managers to make sure Sale isn't available off waiver wires.
