Celtics Already Want To Extend Jrue Holiday
7 months agoGuard Jrue Holiday says the Boston Celtics have already relayed to him that they desire to discuss a long-term contract extension. Holiday just landed with his new team on Sunday, but it apparently hasn't taken them long to eventually want a multi-year deal out of their recent trade acquisition. He possesses one year remaining of team control before a player option presents itself next offseason, so Holiday could be first on Boston's list of retention priorities with the rest of their core on the books until 2024-25. The two-time All-Star averaged 19.3 points, 7.4 assists, 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 three-pointers, and 1.2 steals in 67 games last season, and Holiday should still be a well-rounded contributor in his age-33 campaign. He's a rock-solid fourth/fifth-round investment in upcoming fantasy drafts.
