Byron Buxton Pulled From Friday’s Rehab Game
8 months agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/designated hitter Byron Buxton (hamstring/knee) exited Friday's rehab game with Triple-A St. Paul early. The 29-year-old left as the DH following two at-bats after feeling soreness in the patella tendon of his right knee. The Twins will re-evaluate Buxton's status on Saturday to determine the next steps. It's the last thing that patient fantasy managers stashing Buxton want to hear considering his long injury history. All managers can do is hold their breath and hope that the speedy slugger's latest setback is not a significant one as he also works his way back from a strained right hamstring. Buxton has been sidelined since Aug. 4 and Minnesota was aiming to get him back as a center fielder upon his return.
