Bradley Beal Progressing, May Return This Weekend
4 months agoPhoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (ankle) is ahead of schedule in his recovery from an ankle sprain, and Shams Charania also hears that Beal could return as soon as this weekend. It's a good omen for Beal, who has been one of the league's most snake-bitten players this year. An injured back forced two separate extended absences onto Beal earlier in the season, then suffering a sprained right ankle on Dec. 15 in just the second game of 2023-24 that the Suns had he, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker together in their lineup. It sounds like Phoenix's prized offseason acquisition would have a fighting chance to return when the team starts a four-game homestand on Friday versus the injury-plagued Charlotte Hornets. The utility of both Grayson Allen, who is averaging a career-high 13.2 points and 2.4 treys per game on 45.5% three-point shooting, and Eric Gordon will become far less pronounced upon Beal's eventual return.
