Bobby Witt Jr. Socks 28th Homer In Rout
8 months agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Friday's surprising 13-2 smackdown of the Boston Red Sox. The 23-year-old thumped a first-inning home run off left-hander James Paxton before adding another RBI on a second-inning groundout. Witt tacked on a few more singles to expand on a late-summer surge since the calendar turned to August. The former No. 2 overall pick is batting a potent .336 (39-for-116) with 10 homers, 24 RBI, and nine stolen bases since Aug. 1 as a top-flight fantasy option.
