Bo Bichette Ends Homerless Drought In Tough Loss
10 months agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's back-and-forth tilt with the Boston Red Sox. The 25-year-old was thrown out trying to score the tying run during the ninth inning to unintentionally thwart his own squad's comeback attempt as they fell 7-6. Though, Bichette did halt a 19-game homer-less dry spell with a third-inning blast. The hitting machine is batting .317 with an .857 OPS, 15 homers, 43 RBI, and three stolen bases as Bichette looks to lead the AL in total knocks for the third straight campaign. The lack of running is a bit curious, as Bichette has witnessed a yearly decline in stolen-base rate since 2021.
