Andrew Vaughn Seeks To Return On Tuesday
10 months agoChicago White Sox manager Pedro Grifol considers it a "best-case scenario" for first baseman Andrew Vaughn (foot) being able to return for Tuesday's Crosstown Series opener with the Chicago Cubs. Vaughn's foot is reportedly still bothering him, but the ChiSox don't believe he'll need to go on the injured list at this stage. The 25-year-old has been out of action since Tuesday after fouling a ball off his foot versus the New York Mets. With Vaughn likely out for Sunday's series finale vs. the Minnesota Twins, he'll have another day of rest with no game scheduled on Monday. The former No. 3 overall pick is batting .244 with a .738 OPS, 12 home runs, 54 RBI, and 43 runs scored in 353 at-bats this year.
