Amen Thompson Will Remain Out Friday
6 months agoHouston Rockets guard/forward Amen Thompson (ankle) is out for Friday's In-Season Tournament game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Thompson left Nov. 1's game with what amounted to a Grade 2 right ankle sprain and was later given a two-to-four week recovery timetable. 2023's No. 4 overall pick could be inching closer to a return, after we last heard that he shed a walking boot on Nov. 7. Thompson is not a must-stash fantasy commodity in redraft leagues on the 6-3 Rockets, who are undefeated in six games during the month of November. Sunday's road encounter with the Los Angeles Lakers marks the next chance for a return. Aaron Holiday has been a more consistent member of head coach Ime Udoka's rotation without Thompson, but Tari Eason's role could eventually begin to grow following a late start to the year with a stress fracture in his left leg.
