Adley Rutschman Keeps Up Solid Year Despite Loss
12 months agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman walloped a two-run homer in Thursday's loss to the Los Angeles Angels. He has only spent five games this year holding an on-base percentage under .400 and his slugging percentage is yet to fall under .400 at all. A 22-game homer-less dry spell from April 14 to May 8 marks about the only blemish on what has been a pleasing second-year jump for the 2019 number-one overall pick. Rutschman's AL-high 34 walks slightly diminish his appeal in leagues which don't count free passes, but the 25-year-old is already one of the most stable fantasy backstop options. Rutschman terrorized the Toronto Blue Jays, who the O's will visit this weekend, for a .344 average, 10 extra-base hits and 13 RBI in just 17 games against them last year.
