Aaron Gordon Sidelined Indefinitely After Dog Bite
4 months agoDenver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (face/hand) suffered significant lacerations to his face and hand from a dog bite Monday that required 21 stitches, but the Nuggets say he is in good condition. Gordon has no return timetable and will remain away from the team while recovering. That's not exactly how Gordon hoped his Christmas would wrap up after posting a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double versus the Golden State Warriors earlier in the day. The 28-year-old playmaking forward should be stashed in most fantasy leagues. There's not a clear fantasy beneficiary of Gordon's absence in head coach Michael Malone's thin rotation, but Reggie Jackson has been the squad's most productive reserve this year. We could see a greater reliance on small-ball units with Jackson alongside Jamal Murray in Denver's backcourt, potentially pivoting Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the three and Michael Porter Jr. to the four.
