BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 35% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It's time for fantasy managers to make sure Heston Kjerstad isn't floating around any waiver wires in their leagues. The Baltimore Orioles plan to recall their No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, from the minor leagues ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.
Kjerstad had a chance to be a part of Baltimore's Opening Day roster after being promoted late last season, but his 2024 regular-season debut was delayed just a bit by a weak spring training that saw him bat .265 (13-for-49) with just one extra-base hit and three RBI in 18 Grapefruit League games.
The 25-year-old former No. 2 overall pick has flipped that script in a hurry at Triple-A Norfolk, however, slashing a prolific .349/.431/.744 with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, 25 runs scored, and one stolen base in 86 at-bats (21 games) this season.
With Heston Kjerstad getting called up, let’s enjoy one of his 10 home runs this season.

It was only a matter of time before he was brought back up to the big-league club, but we'd be lying if we told you Kjerstad has a clear path to playing time in the outfield corners or at first base in Camden Yards. While he figures to get most of his ABs against right-handed pitching while left fielder Austin Hays (calf) is sidelined, fellow lefty hitters Colton Cowser and Ryan O'Hearn are off to very strong starts for the O's. Even so, Kjerstad carries enough upside as a hitter to be an immediate add in all mixed leagues.
