Rangers Lose Jon Gray To Forearm Tightness
7 months agoThe Texas Rangers put starting pitcher Jon Gray (forearm) on the 15-day injured list due to right lower-forearm tightness on Friday. The veteran right-hander is the latest name to hit the shelf in an injury-plagued Rangers rotation throughout the course of this year. Gray could return at some stage of the postseason, but he's set to miss at least a few weeks after leaving his Sept. 25 start with the forearm injury. The 31-year-old got off to a fabulous start (2.32 ERA through first 12 starts) before faltering for a 5.70 ERA across his most recent 17 starts to end the year. Overall, Gray punched out 142 and walked 54 in 157 1/3 innings before his regular season finished.
