Zach LaVine Ramping Up, Still Without Firm Timetable
4 months agoChicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine (foot) continued to work on cutting and lateral movement during Wednesday's practice. Head coach Billy Donovan said LaVine responded well to the first day of this ramp up on Tuesday, but there is still no firm timeline for his return. The Bulls announced a three-to-four-week timetable for LaVine back on Dec. 6, so we're approaching the short end of that window. It slates LaVine to be re-evaluated in the very near future, while fantasy managers hope to get the struggling 28-year-old two-time All-Star, who is collecting 21.0 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.4 threes per game, back at some point early in the new year. With Nikola Vucevic (groin) now joining LaVine on the shelf, Chicago's offense will center around DeMar DeRozan for the time being. Patrick Williams and Alex Caruso will continue taking on expanded roles in Donovan's rotation while the team's star power is diminished.
