Xander Bogaerts Busts Out With Four Hits In Win
9 months agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, and a stolen base in Friday's 10-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 30-year-old snapped a 21-game homerless drought (one RBI during this skid) with a towering second-inning two run shot. Bogaerts then doubled during the seventh frame before hitting an RBI single in the ninth to put an exclamation point on perhaps his strongest display with the Padres yet. It was also Bogaerts' first four-hit effort of the season. But the power numbers simply haven't been there overall for the five-time Silver Slugger, who's slashing .271/.344/.403 with 12 long balls, 40 RBI, and 13 stolen bases in 420 at-bats.
